Kissing Roger Rabbit

floating out to wonderland

If any of it breaks your heart, it was probably already a little broken to begin with.

“Some Like Her Hot” the accompanying article to Michelle Williams’ February GQ cover.

I like Michelle Williams. I think she’s thoughtful, interesting, and a wonderful actress to watch, but I wouldn’t have ever said I was a huge fan of her or her career. Sadly- given the circumstances- what has drawn me to her is that I am a fan of Heath Ledger. I think it originally started because he was Australian, and any Aussie will tell you we’re bloody proud of our expats and celebrate their successes as if they were our own. He just seemed like such a genuine person and this translated into his roles.

Michelle Williams is someone who seems so dedicated to her craft, and yet she’s so obviously uncomfortable with everything that comes with it; the fame and attention- she’s been quoted as saying that she’s shied away from taking on projects in the past- even if she loved the role- because she didn’t want any part in the promotional aspect that would be involved with working on the film. (Off topic, but that seems to be Keira Knightley’s school of thought as well…) I think to a certain degree you can see that she struggles with it, yet she keeps at it and I think that’s to be admired. I started crying just reading the last few paragraphs of this article, the writer wasn’t lying when he declared it to be heartbreaking.
